Competitions

Just recently two of our younger players participated in regional competitions: Alexander Sheerin went to a chess competition in South Wimbledon and came 4th, winning 17 points in 7 games (5 wins, two losses). Fantastic result from an aspiring young player, well done Alexander! Nathan Derrick went to a chess competition in Guildford and came 6th out of 20 with 3.5 points out of 6 (3 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses). Nathan nearly won his drawn game, being two Queens up in the end game, but accidentially stalemated his opponent. Nevertheless another fantastic result, well done Nathan!
