| Ipswich Junior Chess Club aims to provide a friendly and safe environment for children to develop new friendships while stimulating the development of their knowledge and skills in Chess. The age range of club members varies from age six to fourteen. The club is very informal, and the emphasis is on having fun. We do run a divisional league table, occasionally run ladder competitions and we also participate in the British Land Chess Challenge each year. The club offers training and support to members, and also has a fairly extensive chess libary from which club members are welcome to borrow books at any time. Checkout some of the puzzles - they change regularly! |

| The club has started the British Land Chess Challenge 2010 on 16 Jan. It's not too late to join in, come along this weekend and get some matches in! You may be able to qualify for the local Megafinal, regional Gigafinal, or national Terafinal! International Master Adam Hunt provided some individual training and group coaching at the session on 23rd Jan, and hopes to come to the club again to repeat the exercise in the next half term. |
